Privacy Policy

Here at Stourport Photo Centre we are very aware of, and committed to protecting your privacy. Stourport Photo Centre is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under the regulations governing Data Protection. The only information that we collect about you is done in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will be in force from 28th May 2018.  To comply with the new regulations it must be assumed that an individual wishes to “Opt Out” of any information being held unless they give their express permission  for information to be held. To this end, should we require any information from you in order to carry out our usual high quality of service, you will be asked to give us your express permission to collect the required data. Information is only collected to enable us to process your orders more efficiently and to ensure that we are able to give you the best possible service.

NONE of the information that we collect about you will be passed on for use by any third party. 

The type of information we may collect about you includes:

  • your name
  • address
  • phone numbers (work and mobile)
  • e-mail address
  • website address

Please be aware that any personal information we collect from you will be stored securely on our internal systems. We do NOT store any of your information on our website or the server that hosts our website.

The information we hold will obviously be correct at the date it is collected from you. However, should any of your details change please make us aware of these so that we are able to update our records accordingly. Should you wish to have copy of the information that we hold about you please contact us.

In addition to information about you personally, we generally keep images for a period of 14 days simply to aid us in case an order has to be reprinted for whatever reason. Images are stored on our internal system. If however, you have images that you do not wish us to store for the 14 days we are more than happy to delete them immediately upon completion of your order. If this is the case please make us aware when placing the order.

Cookies

Whenever you connect to our website, a log is generated which shows you computer’s IP address. This log shows us what you looked at, and whether you found us through search engines or otherwise. This data is only used to help us with understanding customer patterns so that we are able to fine tune the way our site works and looks to give you the easiest way of viewing. The ones we use are from Google Analytics, one of Google Inc’s services. NO PERSONAL INFORMATION IS GATHERED.

We will not use the analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google Analytics tool. Google say that they will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Essentially their analytical system is safe, but should you be worried, please do not allow cookies.

We provide links to photographers and other sites that may be of interest to you. Whilst we are confident that these sites comply with any applicable rules and laws, no guarantee is given, and we will not be responsible for any issues you may encounter. To this end it is your responsibility to ensure you are happy with their cookie and privacy policy.
